JDRF One Walk
Madison Family Dental is a proud sponsor and supporter of JDRF One Walk in their efforts to create a world without type 1 diabetes.
JDRF One Walk is an organization near and dear to MFD dentist Dr. Christine Julian-Hoernke’s family. Her son Noah has type 1 diabetes (T1D) — and each year more than 40,000 people in the United States are diagnosed with the disease.
JDRF One Walk is fun, family-friendly event where walkers and sponsors raise money to make living with T1D safer until a cure can be found. It’s the largest T1D event in the world, making it an amazing experience coming together to improve the future of everyone living with this disease.
Madison Family Dental has been honored to contribute to More Smiles Wisconsin to help them provide patient care by volunteering on a monthly basis. Dr. Lori Veerman, who serves on the board, and Dr. Lindsey Heim have spent time working at the clinic with homeless patients.
Yearly, Madison Family Dental hosts a Touched Twice United Clinic, providing services to hundreds of patients at our clinic on a Saturday morning.
