Purple Stride raises awareness and funds for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network to help improve treatment and prognosis for the devastating disease.
Purple Stride is a fundraising effort to raise awareness and money to fight the cause of Pancreatic cancer. With various run/walk events throughout the United States, there is huge support for this cause. Read about our 2013 involvement here where we were a Gold Sponsor, and you can also read about our successful 2014 Purple Stride involvement as well!
We’ve seen this event grow and grow in the few short years its been in Madison. We are honored to be sponsoring such a passionate group of individuals all fighting to bring awareness to pancreatic cancer. We also are there to support our own superstar member of the MFDA team, Renee Helt as she honors the loss of a loved one . ~Dr. Christine Julian-Hoernke
2014 Recap: Over 2,300 Attend Despite the Cold and Rain
Despite the cold and rainy weather on the morning of Sunday, April 27th, PurpleStride Madison 2014 was a tremendous success! It was a powerful and inspiring day where 2,350 passionate participants came out to stride at the Mallard’s Duck Pond in Warner Park to raise over 240,000 to fight pancreatic cancer! The children were entertained with face painting and balloon making, and Maynard the Duck made an appearance at the end of the event in dry weather.
A special thanks to my Madison Family Dental PurpleStride Team, which was 24 people strong, raising $1,183! I am forever grateful for you believing in my cause! Here are a ton of photos from the event. ~Renee Helt, event organizer
