•  Eat a healthy diet: Limit your intake of sugary and starchy foods and drinks. Choose healthy snacks, such as fruits, vegetables, and cheese.
•  Drink plenty of water: Water helps to rinse away food particles and keep your mouth hydrated.
•  Visit your dentist regularly: See your dentist for checkups and cleanings every six months. Your dentist can check for cavities and other dental problems, and provide you with professional cleaning to remove plaque and tartar.
