Dr. Alanna WirtzDr. Alanna Wirtz Dr. Alanna Wirtz is one of four partners and eight general dentists at Madison Family Dental Associates, practicing out of the Madison office. Ever since she was a little girl, Dr. Wirtz knew she wanted to help people. She started her career as a pediatric physical therapist, but after five years, she found herself looking for a path that offered more autonomy while still providing patient care. That led her to dentistry—making her the first dentist in her family. For the past 19 years, Dr. Wirtz has been a dedicated member of Madison Family Dental Associates. A lifelong Wisconsin resident, Dr. Wirtz loves all Wisconsin sports. Some of her favorite sporting experiences include attending the 2020 Rose Bowl and, more recently, a soccer match in Italy. Outside the office, Dr. Wirtz stays very busy as a mother of four. Her oldest daughter is a junior at UW–Madison pursuing a future in dentistry. Her son, a freshman at the University of Minnesota, is an avid golfer with an interest in studying business. Her middle daughter is a junior at Memorial High School and part of the swim team, while her youngest daughter, a freshman, plays soccer and recently joined cross country. With her kids getting older, Dr. Wirtz has started to travel more. She celebrated her 50th birthday with her first big trip to Italy and recently returned to New York to visit the 9/11 Memorial.
