Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that is nearly invisible. It uses clear aligner trays rather than metal brackets and wires that traditional braces use. This means there are no dietary restrictions and brushing and flossing your teeth is made much easier. You will wear your clear aligners all day, only removing them while you eat or brush your teeth.
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends children begin to see the orthodontist around six years of age for an initial assessment. That does not mean actual treatment for your child will begin at the age. This simply means that the pediatric orthodontist will evaluate your child’s oral cavity and determine whether orthodontic treatment will be necessary and when it needs to begin.
